| Freddie Mack - Rust Belt Bluesman |
 |
 |
Original American music - played with heart
and conviction by a man who has played countless one-nighters with an amazing variety of
players. He was raised in a blue-collar town where the Blues easily found its way into his
life and soul. His style is influenced by the rockin' boogie Blues of the 30's, 40's, and
50's that he heard on the radio as a boy. Freddie Mack has been playing the Blues
professionally in Pittsburgh since the early 80's, and has consistently entertained crowds
with his red-hot live performances. |
|
| Currently, he works with a 1GHZ AMD Thunderbird digital
multi-track home recording studio, and frequently pushes the limits of software such as
Cool Edit Pro, Cakewalk Pro, and Sound Forge. To his credit, over the last decade he has
written and produced cassette releases as Uptown Slim, and several complete CDs of
original songs under the stage name Freddie Mack. He's always working on a new song for
his latest CD. |
|
| As an avid amateur photographer Fred uses his Olympus digital
and Canon film cameras to maximum effect, and has produced quite a few event posters and
CD covers that have been seen throughout the Northeastern United States. He employs his
considerable Photoshop skills to produce top-notch designs for artists such as Memphis
Mike and the Legendary Tremblers, the Mystic Knights, the Pawnbrokers, the Paul Nelson
Blues Band, and of course for the Pittsburgh Blues Society. |
